Storage in use
The current version stores one cookie called loocas-language, with the value “fr” or “en”. Its sole purpose is to recall your language when you return to the website root. It does not identify a person and contains no account identifier.
Its maximum lifetime is 12 months from storage; visiting a localised page may renew it. It is restricted to the visited host and the “/” path, with SameSite=Lax and Secure on HTTPS. The preference is therefore not automatically shared across subdomains.
The application currently sets no advertising, analytics or authenticated-session cookie. It does not use persistent local storage for a user profile.
Why is there no “Accept all” banner?
Remembering language is an expected interface preference and is not used for advertising tracking. This functional cookie does not require the same consent as an advertising tracker.
A consent banner should not suggest optional tracking exists when none is loaded. If optional tools are introduced, they will remain disabled until the required choice, with refusal as easy as acceptance and an accessible withdrawal option.
Change your preference
The FR and EN links change the language. You can delete the cookie or block cookies in your browser settings. Pages remain available at their /fr and /en addresses, but automatic return to your preferred language may stop working.
Deleting browser data does not delete an enquiry sent by email; use the privacy contact for that enquiry.
Fonts, images and sign-in
Demonstration images are hosted with the website. Google Fonts currently supplies the fonts: downloading them sends technical data to the provider even without an advertising cookie. See the privacy policy for this request.
Google and Apple sign-in buttons do not yet redirect to their services or set OAuth cookies. The demonstration embeds no TikTok or Instagram player.
When the service changes
Before adding a new category of storage, Loocas must specify its name, purpose, provider, lifetime and consent rule. Launching a feature cannot turn a previous language preference into consent for advertising or profiling.
